Terms & Conditions:

1. This promotional event is only applicable to American Express Debit Cards starting with 37 and American Express® CNY Credit Cards (hereinafter collectively referred to as "Amex CNY Cards," excluding "American Express® Single Foreign Currency Cards" and "American Express® Dual-Currency Cards"). Please refer to Article 7, List of Applicable Banks and Card Products, below for details of applicable banks and card products.

2. The promotional event starts from November 1, 2022 and ends on January 31, 2023 (Beijing time) (both days inclusive)

3. Cardholders are required to sign up successfully before participating in the event.Holders of an Amex CNY card that meets the terms and conditions of this event are entitled to the cash rebate below when successfully purchasing through swiping their cards in POS machines at designated DFS stores on condition that they have been signed up and the promotion is in progress. Amounts refunded due to return of goods are not included in the purchase amount entitled for cash rebate;
Payments made through bundling an Amex CNY card with your WeChat, Alipay, and UnionPay accounts instead of swiping your card in POS machines are not included in the purchase amount entitled for cash rebate.

This promotion plan is not applicable to the following brands and/or products: (I) Brands and/or products of T Galleria by DFS in Hong Kong not applicable to this promotion plan include: (i) All consignment sales brands; (ii) Watches, jewelry and accessories, including Bulgari, Chopard, Gucci, Hermes, TAG Heuer and Tiffany; (iii) Fashionable clothing category: Celine, Charles & Keith, Fendi, Gucci & Gucci Menswear, Loewe and Moncler; (iv) Beauty & cosmetics category: POLA; (II) Brands and/or products of T Galleria by DFS in Macau not applicable to this promotion plan include: (i) All consignment sales brands; (ii) Watches, jewelry and accessories: Buccellati, Blancpain, Breguet, Cartier, Chaumet, Tiffany, Glashütte, Van Cleef & Arpels, and Piaget; (iii) Fashionable clothing category: Burberry, Celine, Chanel, Chloe, Dior, Fendi, Gucci and Gucci Menswear, Hermès, Louis Vuitton, Moncler, Prada and Saint Laurent; (iv) Beauty & cosmetics category: Chanel and Dior; (v) Alcohol and tobacco category: Moutai, Hibiki, Suntory, Luzhou Laojiao, Guojiao, premium spirits and wine. Brands make their own decisions on whether to participate in the promotion. During the promotion period, brands reserve the right of final interpretation on exiting the event. DFS is not liable for exits by any brands.

4. Cardholders can sign up by scanning the exclusive event code displayed at the bank's promotional channel or the official channel of American Express and may participate in the cash rebate event only after successful sign-up.Before sign-up, cardholders must associate an active Amex CNY card (activated) in the "American Express Card Rewards" applet with their Alipay or WeChat accounts. Please refer to the card products in the List of Applicable Banks and Card Products in Article 8 below and select the corresponding card to sign up. After signing up successfully, you will receive a SMS notification message on successful sign-up from 1069240963223998.

5. Event Rules
5.1 Cash rebate rules and waiting period
Cardholders who meet the above cash rebate conditions will receive their cash rebates within 45 calendar days after the event ends. The actual date for receiving their cash rebates may be later than the aforementioned date due to force majeure. The description of cash rebate entry on the bank statement received by cardholders will be "Cash rebate: Cash rebate for overseas purchase via American Express CNY Card" or "Return of goods: American Express CNY Card cash rebate for overseas purchase" (the actual description in the actual bank statement issued by banks shall prevail).

If a cardholder has made overseas purchases that meet the terms and conditions for cash rebate of this promotion, but not received the cash rebate, he or she can call the bank service hotline on the back of the bank card to provide his or her feedback within 60 calendar days after the event ends; If a cardholder disagrees with the cash rebate amount, he or she can call the bank service hotline on the back of the bank card within 30 calendar days after receiving the cash rebate, beyond which, it shall be deemed that the cardholder agrees with the cash rebate amount. In order to ensure fairness and impartiality, cardholders must properly keep the SMS notification message on successful sign-up of the event, relevant purchase receipts (including invoices), and provide them to the bank when necessary.

5.2 Calculation of purchase amount
The amount and date of eligible overseas transaction(s)/consumption are based on the clearing time recorded in the American Express clearing and settlement system. The amount of refunds due to return of goods is not included in the cumulative purchase amount.
Please call the bank service hotline on the back of the bank card to inquire about questions related to the exchange rate of overseas transactions/consumption or the reasons for transaction failure.

5.3 Transactions that do not meet the conditions for cash rebate of this event
In the event of any of the following circumstances, cardholders shall be disqualified from participating in this event and from receiving a cash rebate for transactions made. If a cash rebate has been received, it will be offset by another transaction by the cardholder with a negative amount entered as "Cash rebate for purchase via American Express CNY Card." The difference between the received amount and the deducted amount as a result of exchange rate difference will not be refunded (the actual description in the actual bank statement issued by banks shall prevail):
1) Transactions such as return of goods, cash-out, payment rejection, fraud, reversal, dispute, counterfeit or cancellation are made following the overseas purchase by the cardholder;
2) Abnormal consumption behaviors of cardholders such as maliciously obtaining a cash rebate by using codes, plugins, add-ons and other tools;
3) Credit or debit cards are suspended or controlled;
4) Unsuccessful transactions (including rejected transactions) due to rejections by merchants, card issuing banks or American Express;
5) Other transactions that violate the relevant regulations of the issuing bank or American Express.

6. Other rules
6.1 Goods or services purchased by a cardholder at an overseas merchant are provided by the merchant and the cardholder shall decide whether to purchase the goods or services provided by the merchant at his or her sole discretion. The issuing bank and American Express do not provide guarantee in any form on the quality of goods or services provided by the merchant.To the extent permitted by laws and regulations, the issuing bank and American Express shall not be liable for any issues, disputes, claims or any damages arising from the aforementioned goods or services. Therefore, cardholders should directly approach the merchant for settlement and solution.

6.2 American Express and the issuing bank reserve the right to adjust the list of restricted merchants. Restricted merchants include those defined by the regulator and flagged merchants updated on a rolling basis during the event.

6.3 Users participating in this event are deemed to understand and agree to the terms and conditions of this event.In the event of force majeure or change of situation (such as encountering a major disaster event, being ordered by the competent authorities to stop or adjust, being suspended due to system failure, illegal or cheating behaviors that jeopardize rights and interests of consumers),the issuing bank and American Express reserve the right to adjust, suspend or terminate this event, which will take effect after the issuing bank or American Express announces it in their official website or other channels, to the extent permitted by law. Cardholders are advised to take note of such announcements. If cardholders have any questions about this event, they can call the bank service hotline on the back of the bank card to make inquiries.
