Fondaco dei Tedeschi is participating in the Venice Glass Week 2023 with a special event dedicated to the artist and designer Assia Karaguiozova, Italian Design Ambassador for 2023 during Italian Design Day 2023 in Jakarta.

On Wednesday, September 13th, 2023, Assia Karaguiozova will present the WATER ILLUSION glass container collection, designed in collaboration with Poltrona Frau. Inspired by the intense rhythm of Zorba's Sirtaki dance, this captivating series of bowls and vases aims to depict the continuous movement of water and the encounter between the waves and the sky, crystallizing their sinuous and unique manifestations through glass. The collection, comprising four sculptural models, is entirely handcrafted in Italy using only recycled glass.

During the event,the artist will share her passion for glasswork and the story behind the conception of WATER ILLUSION, which is part of Poltrona Frau's 2022 True Evolution Collection.

The pieces from the WATER ILLUSION collection will be available on the ground floor of Fondaco starting from Friday, September 8th.
